evos don' look over 30k car w/ their speical carbon LOOK interior... how much more would have cost them if they used real carbon?. maybe $10 more/ car.
talk to customer mitsu! a lot of people didn't like evo from the beginning in US due to cheap looking interior. i understand mitsu is doing something very good w/ thier powertrain and exterior... but please look around and hire some interior designer. it would only cost them fraction of cost compare to what they spent on R&D for the new 4b11.

I really don't see the fuss over crappy Evo interiors... I guess the old Evos were pretty bad but the new one is definitely a decent interior. I thought it was pretty well accepted that when you're buying an Evo, you're paying $20,000 for a Lancer, plus $15,000 for performance upgrades...
I guess they could add an upgraded trim level or an interior package for $2,000 with leather seats, carbon trim, upgraded plastics, etc. but that's not what I look for when I buy a Mitsubishi anyway.

Now I'm a bigger guy
and my instructor was no lightweight either.
And after some spirited driving on the track, the staples had come out. So to those of you high mileage guys, have to done anything on the track with lots of G's? It seems that the lateral force of the occupant helps to tug out the staples.
Here's my take: If the only thing wrong with my (first year of a redesign, Mitsubishi) Evo is the two rattles in the dash and the staples in the seat come out -- I'm as happy as a clam.
ETA: I've got a little over 3,000 miles on the car now. The staples were first seen at around 800 miles on the ODO.

they won't replace the seats though, they just need to re-staple lol
Like others have mentioned, just take it back to the dealership because it is covered under warranty. I just brought mine back about a week ago and they had put new staples in (and I believe they even told me they added some high-strength glue along the inside to keep it from popping out).
I would like to know more about the leathers and if they are going to have the same faux design in the middle, or if they even have a color or fabric combo.
Does anyone have more information on the leathers?
I absolutely loved the leather i had in my IX, except those really hot days when you couldn't really sit down till the a/c was on for a bit.
