Ah talked to Mitsu Dealership about my seat problem....since they are "Recaros" and not of the Mitsu brand, I have to wait until the official Mitsu rep visits the shop in a couple of weeks...they have reported my problem and there is a good chance that I'll probably get a set of new seats...hopefully with revised stiching or stapling or whatever...we shall see what happens

Thank god I didnt fall into the hype on spending 40k+ on a poor quality car

BTW....The seat belts on an evo 8/9 is made by takata....go to your evo x and find out where that's made.
Thanks for the warning Mr big shot 06 CLK55 AMG Cabriolet owner. Seems to me like a guy that has 80,000 to drop on a car would have better things to do the sit around and bad mouth a car that he does not even own. Why don't you get off this mitsubishi forum, get in your benz, and go drive around to pick up chicks. Everyone knows that people like you buy those cars because it is the only real shot you have at getting laid anyway. But thanks for all of your input.

So at the dealer I bought my car from..There was a new Evo X base package..Well this car had 220 miles, Velcro right between the gauges on the dash(radar detector anyone), the floor panel and the staples in the seat sticking out..O along with a nice dig by the drivers door handle, orange peel by the window sill and a rip in the weather stripping(hanger maybe)..Well long story short they sold the car and had gotten the car back b/c the finance didnt go threw for that guy..Best part is that they are selling the car at full sticker..

umm...ok...well then you either talk them down OR have them fix it at no charge to you...the staples showing in the seats did **** me off but it sounds like the dealership will do something about it IMHO...the other stuff...well sounds like negligence

The fabric isn't as sturdy as it is in my 8. I have loose fabric around the harness holes on my passenger seat.

Its a new model there will be kinks to work out.

Yea I haven't had the staple issue yet but I'm sure it will happen now that I know lol, I love the feel of the seats but agree that those cheap *** seat belt guides are a little annoying. I'd say try the dealer it can't hurt any thing and the worse they can do is say they can't do any thing.

My recaros seem to be fine, overall every manufacturer has defects weather it be Lexus and Toyota or Honda/Acura. Maybe they use the ABS plastic on the gas pedal for a break away effect in case of an accident?
