Come on April 18th, my GSR awaits me (GOD WILLING)!!!!!!!!!!!!
No matter what, paying 30k for a car with cheap insides is unacceptible . Cutting cost to make a car to apeal to the masses will not get you that.

the seat fabric is really bad, even without the cheap pins popping out, the fabric will wear down pretty quickly.

Those side and bottom side bolsters are going to crease and wear in no time at all. And badly. 30k miles on those seats and they will look ragged.

I tucked it back in, and you can't see it anymore but if you pull on it it comes back out pretty easily. I wonder if I took it to the dealer if they would do anything about it. My guess is that whatever they would do I could do myself, i.e try to lift up that plastic piece and use a staple gun to try and resecure it, etc. Has anyone else had this happen? Doesn't really bother me THAT much, although it is a little disappointing. Oh well, I didn't buy the car for the interior, but it would be nice if mitsu could make sure that crap like this doesn't happen. Anyway, what do you guys think?
The whole car is sh*tty made, been trying to tell you that since day one....but you were too high on your horse to realize that

Thank god I didnt fall into the hype on spending 40k+ on a poor quality car

BTW....The seat belts on an evo 8/9 is made by takata....go to your evo x and find out where that's made.

A guy just had his gas pedal broken in half in his new X.
This car is a roving piece of junk, I think.

Squeaky wheel getting the oil. As is the case with any car forum, you'll always get the few having problems complaining the loudest. Just something to keep in mind. As with anything this is just a sampling of the cars running around in the wild as a whole.

I actually love the new seats...but I'm not too crazy about the back of the seats (miss the plastic backing because passengers tend to kick it).

But overall, no problems to date here.

Engine hesitation, phantom reflashes, seats falling apart, bad paint, pedals falling off, a guy needing a clutch after 3000 miles, unreasonable dealer markups

Damn - I was all set on an evo, but if mitsubishi haven't learnt anything since 03, and are releasing rubbish again, looks like as much as I want one, I may have to steer clear again.

There are many people out there who really want an evo, but are afraid of mitsubishi's tendency to build a bad quality product.

How do they continuously manage to screw up a bloody great car...

If they actually screwed it together right, they would sell many many more...

Dude...that's just saying too damn much there...each phrase is basically an exaggeration...minus the seats issue...I'm pretty sure there have been the other problems then isolated cases....and dealers mark up items that are highly anticipated all the time
