Do your revs HANG after using OEM launch control in neutral?

Simple question to all of the EVO X owners out there:

Do your revs ever "hang" after inititiating the stock launch control feature (5500rpm) on your car?

I used mine the other day to see if/how it works... and when I do it, I let off the gas pedal, but the revs STAY as high at 4K RPM and then slowly back down from there to idle. It does not do this every time. I remember seeing a thread (I think) about this before...?

Anyone's input is appeciated. My car has a bunch of AMS stuff on it so I'm not about to go to the dealer with it. Just want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

No it's not a huge deal and no it does not affect drivability. So please keep rude "who cares?" remarks out of the thread. Thanks.

they all do it... search for "rev hang" and you'll find a few threads.

Yes. It's supposed to help reduce emissions.

Isn't this to burn all of the fuel you are dumping in the system?

I think pumping the clutch ended up dropping the revs back down from the stratosphere when aborting a stutter launch.
