We had a somewhat chilly day Sunday, but it's still been dropping to near or below freezing at night..

Nah, I wouldn't say it has warmed up yet. We've had a couple warm days, but it's not until today that it's going to start getting really nice. It's still below freezing most mornings when I drive to work. And just to note, this issue started in summer when the temps were FAR from cold.

Another update

I've been offered a settlement by Mitsubishi, that I am going to accept. Unfortunately, I'm positive that the deal states that I'm not allowed to discuss the terms of the settlement, so I must keep that part to myself.

The car seems happy, and I'm finally going to start doing the modifications I've wanted to since I got the car. The car is going to get gutted in the next couple weeks to prepare for the new stereo install!!

Wow !! , just finished reading entire thread , it was better then any soap opera
After all of the techs and management and mitsu personal, rental cars for them / gas cards / lawyers and flying them all around kingdom come, /hotel rooms / meals ...hookers /jk , and whatever else , they very well couldve just payed your car off , like you requested , or payed for prolly 2 evo 's !...

Its unfortunate that you went thru a lot of heart ache Webman , I hope your car holds up now ,

A month or so ago , A person went into one of the Dodge dealerships here in Edmonton , and popped 2 of there Employee's , ( Im not sure why or what reason).

I think ALL dealerships nowadays will do whatever they can , NOT to be accountable for there product, its unfortunate .

Yeah, what a process. I swear Mitsubishi could have saved a lot of time and money had they just bought the car back, and tried to sell me a brand new one. I even offered them that deal. But instead, they spent thousands on sending out techs on multiple occasions, and are now having to pay some sort of settlement. It's too bad.

However, I just got the new stereo installed, and I think I'm really happy with the car now.

It's even worse in engineering.

Two 4 hour meetings involving HQ and the 2 plants across 3 different states to discuss changing from a custom fastener to an off the shelf screw.

Total cost of engineering, management, and manufacturing's time for the 10+ people tied up for 8+ hours and retooling the manufacturing line not to mention retraining people, changing bill of materials, order entry, inventory, etc, probably in the area of 20-30 grand. Total saved by going to an off the shelf fastener, 1000 bucks a year.

Read the thread and stop being lazy. That's what I had to do. Why do you think that you are any different? And judging from not a single person answering your question, I'd think that everyone else here thinks the same.

And I do know the answer to your question. How do I know the answer? I read the thread. You'd be better served to do the same. Cause it looks like no one here is going to answer you. LOL!
