Recurring P1235 code...
Just got the call that the car will be ready by the end of the day. He then proceeds to tell me that he's working on putting the turbo and manifold in right now. So I ask him "So, he's gonna test it after he puts that stuff in?". I think he misunderstood the question because he responded "Of course they're going to test it". What I meant was, "You are SO confident that it's the solution to the problem, that you are going to tell me it's ready before you even know if the problem is actually fixed?"
I guess we'll see what happens...

I had a bad experience at skyline on 104th also. The service woman there even told me when going in for warranty work on stereo and seats that they had to check first to see if there was anything I had done to make it fall out of warranty.
I knew right there that it was going to be issues. They didn't test out the stereo like I had told them to, after having the car there all day. Took it to mile high and they took 2 minutes to check it out, then ordered a new head unit. Mile High was a much better experience for me and was highly recommended by other EVO owners.

And I have nothing but good things to say about Mile High, especially the parts manager Kenny. Great guy, super helpful and always lets things go for as cheap as he can sell them; he knows me by name I've been in there so many times.

OK, just got back from the dealership, FINALLY. I showed up promptly at 5pm, which is when he said the car would be ready. Robert says to me, "He's out driving it right now. Should be back in a few." So, I wait like 15 minutes before he says he's going to go check on the car. Come to find out he's not even got the car back together yet. Then Robert says to me "He's bleeding the clutch, then there's a couple more panels he has to put on and he'll be done". Bleeding the clutch? Wha? Ok, so anyway, I wait for another hour, and the tech comes back form test driving it. Says he couldn't make it do it, but they were able to replicate it several times before. The bright side is, I didn't have to sit in too much traffic on the way home, because everyone is already home... lol
To the mountains I go, this weekend.

I still feel skeptical.... more testing i say
And if it passes, what are you going to do with the car? Keep it?
Also, do you feel you would have solved this sooner had you taken it to the 2nd dealership sooner?

Car sure is happy still!
I'm not sure if I had taken it to mile high in the first place, that they would have fixed it. Because it was one of the mitsubishi techs they flew out, that figured out how to reproduce the issue.
As for what's next, I will definitely keep the car. I am still going to attempt to recover damages from Mitsubishi for my lost time with the vehicle, and my extreme troubles dealing with it all. Then, I can FINALLY start modifying the vehicle, like I've wanted to since the beginning, and by modify, I'm not even talking performance mods. I have a backup camera to install, and I plan to rip out the interior and dynamat everything and replace the stereo with one that actually sounds good. Then I'll probably get an accessport, and maybe do the stock muffler modification for some more flow, and I'll be set! I'm going to wait a bit before i do anything though. But I've had a backup camera sitting at my house for almost 3 months now!
