2010 All Model Mega Merge (MR, RS, GSR)
Everyone on forums say they want the lighter, stripped down version of a car... then, when the manufacturer actually makes such a version, no one buys it.
Case in point: the Miata Club Sport in, oh, 03 or so. Everyone said they wanted a lighter Miata with all of the heavy stuff stripped out--power accessories, A/C, stereo, whatever. So Mazda made one. They couldn't give the things away.
Of course, the irony is that these stripper editions turn out to be the ones collectors want down the road, but they never sell when new.

lots of people will buy the RS's, mainly motorsport orientated guys.
the big problem for RS in Australia is that its NOT road-registerable... so you instantly loose a big chunk of the market..
also lack of ABS sux

RS is a perfect racer or tuner car. Parts are lesser then any other EVo model, would be replaced anyway
So you dont spend extra money for nothing, like having parts laying around in your basement . just like i have
So yes i would buy RS over any model. And i think it would be a good selling model .

I think the problem comes when we actually go to write the first check.
Unless a stripped down Evo was cheaper, most people will just see it as a "what the hell, where is my ABS" version, with a high price tag.

Canada got heated seats in as standard for the 09 GSR. Didn't realize the 08's didn't have them. So did they do anything to the engine on the 10's?

and the carbon-fiber difusser... that I wish RA's had NOT exactly like the Evo but a bit bigger/noticeable
