Once again the AWC recall, which is in another thread, only reprograms the AWC ECU. NOT THE ENGINE ECU.

AWC update doesn't affect me (california). I will be going in tomorrow for my fuel return line recall . The Tech said nothing about having to inspect the full fuel system, but it wouldn't hurt me (im still stock). Hoping this is the last recall...(hood latch...)

I got my 08 evo done for the fuel return line recall at SCM this past weekend. Also got my ecu reflashed for the fluctuating idle, Paul was super helpful and straightforward which was great!

How did it take at SCM? I'm thinking of dropping my car off tomorrow before work and seeing if they can do fuel-line, get me a reflash, and inspect the hood latch. The car's been so good otherwise! (oil change too, since it is convenient and i'm lazy, lol)

I just got this yesterday. Anyone actually have issues with their car because of this or are they just being cautious?

I got it done on Wednesday in Gillman Mitsubishi on 59/8. I did a walk in oil change plus the fuel return line done. The person who helped me out was Kevin Brown and he did a great job explaining everything to me. He informed me that the parts were in on Tuesday and the job could be done in less than 30 minutes. After an hour and half oil change and the kit was installed, and I picked up my car. It was a very pleasant experience having my service done there. Jaime was the mechanic who worked for my car, and he had inspected everything for me and definitely no breakage or leakage of any kind on my car. I had to say thank you so many times for someone who took care a car like his own. Plus i got a 5 dollar off just by giving Kevin my email. Good job Gillman Mitsubishi.
