I called the 888 Mitsu number today for other reasons and at the end of the phone call I asked if mine required the recall. She said no. Hmm, guess I'll just wait to see if I get a letter from them.

You are awesome. Thanks man!

Looks like the part is 20 bucks. Hmmm... 20 bucks myself, or **** around de-modding/haggling with the dealer to just give me the part? Yeah, thinking 20 bucks

Read the TSB, it explains the installation. If there is any doubt, bring it to the dealer, your dealing with fuel lines. You don't want you car going up in flames.

I got my first oil change today... Mentioned it to south coast Mitsubishi. They took care of the fuel line recall, and flash update.

Also the guy wondering about his hood latch... When I picked up my X... They had already fixed it.

going next saturday to get flashed and fuel line fixed ,as well at the hood latch recall. the mitsu tech told me it is a seperate ecu and will not effect my flash or tune with the engine ecu.. read below as i am going to a different dealership to get all the work done.

biggers mitsubishi in elgin il.wants to charge me to do all of this work. they told me there is no awc flash for US cars.. just canada.they said they could do it but it would cost 65.00 i asked about the fuel line also ,and they told me me there is no such issue but they could do it for about 265.00. stay away from this stealership

I would call headquarters and let them know about this, they should not be charging for a recall fix.
