Could we start a list of aftermarket rails that fix the affected part? I heard AMS, but now people are saying no. If I am going to swap out the part I will probably go aftermarket =)

I don't believe there are any aftermarket peices that supply a new return line off the rail.

Yeah thats what it kind of sounds like in the thread, i guess you could buy the recall part and an aftermarket rail and do both. If I am going to do the labor I feel I should upgrade at the same time

Yeah, I figured I might as well do a Walbro, fuel rail, and injectors while I'm at it. Funny how that happens every time I pop the hood of the car.

He has a whole thread about this and was given a lot of advice. If/when I get a recall letter for this car, I'll find out how the local dealer handles it--I have a lot more than an intake on my car. In my mind recalls are not the same thing as warranty...this one is a safety issue.

This is very true but service managers like to f**k us over for some reason. They get payed, the mechanic, and the advisor. This is why I dont understand why they give us such a hard time.

This act is very flawed in a lot of ways. Seen it 1000000 times since the early EVO days and in previous dealings with Honda Nissan and Ford. You can try and bring it up all you want then you have to fight said dealer and reps for your claim. All in all costing you down time and money.

Dealers a very much aware of this ACT but they can word things in front of a judge to make it look very much like something you did may be at fault even if you know damn well it was not. Typically that judge won't have any clue about said part or parts.

So your cars is down for X amount of time, Dealer and car company has much more money then you to fight, and it cost you to get a lawyer to fight them.

Not worth the hassle most of the time IMO.
