What would you do - 2008 MR or 2010 GSR
Ya, evos are pricey here. As I mentioned above, I wasn't even really thinking about buying until summer except because of the 0% on the '09s, but guy at the dealer said he'd could get me into a '10 gsr (base) for under $40,000 including freight and pdi. So now that's got me thinking again.
Still, the big unknown is my trade-in. On my ms3 I owe about what I could sell it for privately - doubt I will get what I owe on a trade and I will not go upside down. Another reason summer is maybe more attractive.
We'll see what transpires on Saturday.

Where in Canada are you from?
i would go for a slighty used GSR, you will eventually see them for 31 000$ in Canada or some kids that just cant keep the car anymore even if the interest is higher for a used one and keep the rest of your money for other thing in life
I bought a new one and its too much money for a Evo here in Canada......

are the sst flashes from mitsu? I seem to remember reading the 2010 sst had a different shifting alogrithem or something.
Its always nice to have a newer car, but if price or resale is a factor get the MR. The GSR is going to have a much more significant depreciation the second you drive it off the lot.
The TCU flashes I'm talking about are from the community. There should be a lot more information coming out soon, but it's been done and it's right around the corner. I'm not 100% sure on the shifting algorithms between 08 and 10. But possible for sure.
MR!
Clutch Pedal manuals are old-school. If you need to use your left foot use it for braking. I know that using your leg to facilitate shifts is "more involving". I guess if you had to wiggle your hips to facilitate a shift that would be more involving as well.
It really depends on what you want. If you are going to do heavy mods then get the old-school 5-speed, If you want one of the most sophisticated transmissions on the planet, get the MR. Either way you can't loose.
