Auto Windows

It's one of those nice little features you don't think about until you don't have it anymore. In my MS6, all four windows were auto up/down. Is it possible to order 3 of the driver auto up/down rockers and set all four windows up that way?

i'm a professional installer and yes you can do this.

you need directed electronics' 530T x 2. each one will control two windows in both the up and down direction.

we use them when combined with advanced remote start installs that allow you to crack the window down, all the way down, and up via the remote when necessary.

however they also add the one-touch up and down to whatever windows they're applied to. you can also get the 529 for your sunroof

That's an interesting idea, but is it really worth the money. When you can just hold the piece up or down for a couple of seconds. GL

this is something i wouldn't try doing yourself. i haven't broke out my meter and tested my own car yet (gts), but it's one of three types of window systems found on cars, most likely one of two. testing for which type will blow your mind if you don't know what you're doing and if hooked up incorrectly can permanently damage your switche(s) and/or motor(s).

be prepared though as most shops will charge a bit for this. most likely at least $100 for just one 530t module. whenever i get my X i may do a write-up on it though...

OMG! It's a freakin' gripe I have on this car. Why couldn't Mitsubishi make them all one-touch up/down!? Would it really have cost them that much more? I don't get it.

Seriously. And they're SO SLOW. I could put the windows in my Civic down and back up again before I even get the X's windows down. Which is pretty bad considering Honda is infamous for crappy automatic window mechanisms.

And ontop of that, I think the front ones go up faster than the rears. When I pull all the windows back up at once after riding with them open, I sometimes notice the rears are slightly open after I walk out.
Makes me ....

I thought that was just mine! My two fronts go up faster than the rears, but they all have slightly different speeds.

Window motors: One of the ways Mitsubishi simply wants to remind you that you're driving a crappy $14k car they took some time to soup up.

Does anyone know the part number for the driver window rocker? Or where I can find a wiring diagram? I have a friend who owns a shop so if/when I get this done I'll let you know how involved it was.
