Trade my Cobalt SS/TC for an EVO X
Fuel mileage is pretty bad for evos. Stock i was averaging about 17mpg. After you get some miles on it, it will loosen up a bit but not much. If you tune it you will see a little better. I avg anywhere between 19-21 now.
What i find funny is that some people dont give credit where its due.
Fact is that this T/C cobalt was faster than an Evo MR around the track in the 2009 Lightning Lap for C/D.
3:13.0 - 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbocharged
3:13.3 - 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR
3:13.5 - 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR
3:13.7 - 2008 BMW 135i
3:14.0 - 2008 Lexus IS F
3:14.6 - 2008 Audi S5
3:15.0 - 2008 Honda S2000 CR
3:15.7 - 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP
3:16.0 - 2007 Mazda Speed 3
3:16.3 - 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8
3:16.6 - 2008 Lotus Elise SC
3:17.5 - 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport
3:18.2 - 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8
3:19.0 - 2006 Mazda RX-8
3:19.0 - 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Anyone who thinks that this car can't hang or even pass an Evo (driver based) on a track is really kidding themselves. The car is a bang for buck champion for the track. Evo's are awesome but to think there isn't something that can beat it in it's price range is untrue.
Either way i'd take an Evo over the Cobalt... but if it was down to cheapest...and serious... track fun, it would be the Cobalt.

Hey guys,
My first post on this forum, and I'm looking for some opinions, I have a 2009 Cobalt SS/TC, the car is great, GMS1 stage kit on it, pushes 290hp/300tq+ and gets 9L/100km on average for fuel economy. The car is great but GM has the worst warranty service, from my experience with them ever, and after their terrible service, I'm looking to do a trade.
I've been looking into an EVO X MR, and for a daily driver, I'd like to know from those of you that have it how you like the car for both summer and winter driving. I understand this EVO will come at a much higher cost than my cobalt is costing me now, but AWD and the little luxuries that are present with the EVO are tempting, has anybody on the forum here switched from the TC cobalt to an EVO X MR? If so any input is greatly appreciated.

I didnt read ALL of the responses, but I did trade an SS/SC for 10' GSR...NO COMPARISON! Evo X will walk all over that car chewing it up and spitting it out, but they are correct when everyone says that the cost to own insure and fuel is MUCH greater. Speed Costs Money!!
