Do you need retuned for aftermarket blow off valve or external 02 dump?

Hey guys. Just bought an 08 evo gsr. Im new to evos, I have a turbo cobalt ss and it had a bpv so when going with an aftermarket blow off valve you had to get retuned, I didn't know if it would be the same with the evo? Also looking to run an open 02 dump. Would you need retuned for that also? Like i said its a newb question so dont hate haha. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

generally, yes you should get retuned after any mods. Most people do more then on mod at a time to save money on needing multiple tunes for little changes.

Well it does have an intake, upper charge pipe, intercooler, a catback exhaust, and is tuned. I know you should but i know sometimes when putting an aftermarket blowoff valve on there car wont run right. I didnt know if i would be fine till i decide to get it retuned. Also for the 02 dump i didnt know if you really would have to for that, i kind of figured for the blowoff valve you would.

it would be a good idea, especially in a 2008, where the OEM tune is the biggest limitation on the car anyway. But I gotta ask... BOV and o2 dump as first 2 modifications? Why on earth are those your priorities? They'll make the car less DD-friendly, but wont add anything to it's performance. Unless your trying to turn heads at the Clearview Mall... but having grown up around Butler, I'm pretty sure you'll just get called a ricer by the type of people who hang out at Ghostriders

ah, should have mentioned that first! Makes a huge difference. The only thing Id be concerned with is the open dump and tuning for when it's open. That'll really change a few cells at high load/high rpm, which is important. BOV wont change much.

Where are you from AFD? Also im sure its considered rice from the people at ghostriders just because its a car first off let alone a foreign one. haha. And its already got a nice bit of bolt ons. But as for the dump it has a catted down pipe on it now and i wanna go catless. I love loud cars. So when im buying a catless downpipe i might as well get the 02 dump. And the blowoff valve, well i guess you can just call me flame haha. But i like it.

the bov will actually change much as itll be able to hold more boost, youll overboost like crazy when not tuned for it.
