My dentless guy at my shop would usually be able to PDR all of it for probably around a $1,000 to $1,600. I would definitely take the insurance payout, PDR or replace panels yourself, especially if they are going to give you $10k??? The only thing that stinks is that it will show up on carfax I believe.

If I could find a shop to do that then that would be ideal. Problem is I have already given it to a shop and they know how much the insurance has given me. My mistake. I should have taken it in and gotten a quote before I showed them how much I got. I had no choice. He wanted to see the assesment from the insurance company and they had all the dollar amounts on it. I think that's bullsh!t. Maybe I should have said "I don't have anything from my insurnace, I'm paying out of pocket" then I'm sure he would have called bullsh!t as well for paying out of pocket for $10k worth of work rather than paying a deductible.

We had a nice hailstorm two years ago, leaving my car almost as bad as your pics. Ozzies in Loveland did PDR on it for ~2500 and it turned out great. Find a good, reputable shop with a good PDR guy and see what they say...
Good luck

If he was a nice guy he would let you get the aftermarket parts...

Did the insurance give the shop the check or make the check out to you? You can always have the check made out to you, and just take somewhere else.

He stated that he already dropped the car off to them, though... His best bet is to let the guys know that he wants aftermarket parts if that's what he's going for.

Talked with the owner and he said that they use aftermarket parts instead of OEM all the time at the customers request. That said, trunk and hood will be CF. Wanted the roof CF too but no go for sunroof. They want 950 bucks for an OEM hood and 880 bucks for a CF hood shipped. No brainer there. Trunk lid was a bit more but what the hell. Also, looks like the insurance companies PDR solution for my quarter panels didn't fly. The owner said all four will have to be replaced. Doors are done and they are also fixing some shotty work from my last sideswipe by some chick from last year. She was pretty hot but caint drive fer sh!it. All in all with the money back from them not having to order a hood and trunk lid both CF parts only really cost me 500 bucks.

So do you get back the difference if there is any? That's mod money.

Since the CF trunk lid was more than twice the OEM lid I had to come out of pocket 500 bucks. Small price to pay for sweetness.

I went with Seibon CSL style. Same look just less the cost. $850 shipped. I know, some would say that I'm cutting corners and going cheap but Seibon has nice stuff.

I remember this exact hail storm because I was on the road when I saw it coming at me from a distance. I got under a gas station canopy that saved my baby. Maybe I should have left it outside so I could have received a carbon makeover.

As long as it fits that's all that matters. It's the exact same style. You'll have to post up pics when everything is done!
