I ordered both from ViS and the hood came with the CF inserts\heat extractors. I'm tossing the idea around about not painting. On a PB Evo I think CF would look pretty good and not be as obvious as on a GG, WW or RR. Also if I decide not to paint that will put some extra coin in my pocket for other goodies. I don't know. We'll see.
I feel your pain... same thing happened to my mazda3 a few years ago :

Insurance company absolutely wanted to repair it, even if the car was evaluated at less then 10 000 at that time. At final, it cost over 12 000$ (front and back glass, roof trunk, hood, doors etc..) and I sold the car 6000$ 2-3 months after the repair....

Wow, i feel you on the hail damage, my evo got hit bad by hail in my area a while back...still waiting on insurance to come out and take a look. They been booked for 3 weeks because of all the claims in the area. I am looking to get the same hood/trunk. Looking forward to seeing the fitment on your setup.
Seibon is terrible- I have the ts hood and it looked awesome. Flash forward a year and it started turning white here and there. 2 years later and my hood looks ridiculous. The carbon is dull now and a dirty white all over.
I had a CF hood on my Eclipse GSX back in the day that did the same thing. I wet sanded it with 600 grit through 2000 grit then did rubbing compound and polishing compound and wax and it looked better than the day I bought it. Recommend using a polisher though. Thats alot of elbow grease other wise.
I assume all CF hoods do this if not properly taken care of. Once i restored it, I waxed it on a regular basis and never had that problem again.

If u use a high quality clear coat on the carbon fiber when it's new u tend to avoid the yellowing and fading problems. Those parts shop with just an epoxy coating. It still needs protection. Make sure u have the body shop clear coat then and make sure it is one with a uv inhibitor if u decide not to paint match them. I have that done on all my carbon fiber parts and several years later they all still look brand new.

Well, over a month now and the car is still at the body shop. Not much I can do about it realy. I did stop by and just about crapped myself when I saw a bunch of my car parts shoved in the trunk and in my back seat, with nothing covering the trunk or my seats. Luckily the leather didn't get jacked up. I raised some hell about it. The owner was way pissed off and said his guys should know better than that. All in all I get the front emblem removed for free and a free full detail because of it. Let's just hope it doesn't take another month to get it back.
Sorry to hear that happened. We have some horribe hail storms in KS too. I am interested to see how the hood and trunk fit. Glad you said something about the guys and how they stored everything. Hope they take better care when they actually start putting the pieces back together. Looking forward to pics.
Hood, trunk, and roof came in yesterday. All of it came in early and on the same day! yay! May be another 2 weeks before she goes in the shop though. boo! The roof is wrapped in fabric and stretch wrap, but tore a lil hole thru it all just to look at the weave. Hood looks good, the trunk is just sexy. I thinks its little bit more rounded. It may be the crappy phone pics though. Either way I am happy so far and cant wait to see it all installed. I literally dont think I can wait I may go ahead and install the hood and trunk this weekend. The Wife wants me to wait and let the "professionals" do it... meh, we'll see... I'll post pics when it comes back from the shop.
