Hail damage

The other night we got some of the worst hail I've seen in this part of Colorado. Needless to say my car got pretty banged up. Filed the claim on Thursday and still waiting for a claims adjuster to contact me. The damage is roof, all four quarter panels, doors. hood and trunk. Basically every panel on the car needs to be replaced. My agent said they do wonders with hail repair these days until she saw the pictures of my car. Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to basically replace the exterior of an Evo? Some of my friends say they will total it. Thought I'd ask while I wait.

No idea about hood or trunk

But each quarter panel aluminum is 900, doors are about 800 for the shells that.

It's gonna be quite the pretty penny. I'd say well over 10,000$

The car is valued at 28K. It all needs paint and assembly so that I'm sure will add to the pretty penny.

Take the cash, sell the car to a rallycrosser, and buy a new one.

Looks much worse in person. I'm thinking there's no way they can get all those dents out and replacement is inevitable. Sorry for the big pics but they show better.

Well dang. You took pics with the car in the garage. Were you not at home when this happened?

I was at a friends house having dinner. All I could do was sit there and watch.

Finally got a call from the adjuster. Taking my car in tomorrow morning. Let's see how much the check will be.

What a shame. People think I am crazy, but I actually check the weather report before I take any of my nice cars out. I am not worried about rain, but hail is the bane of thunderstorms. I feel for you OP. Having to sit there and watch your car get hammered really sucks. Hope everything works out for you.
