It doesn't hurt to change the bov right? Either way gotta change it out one way or another. Not looking into crushed style prefer but new aftermarket.

Wrong. Do NOT GET a vent to atmosphere (VTA) blow off valve. You WILL need a tune for one of those or your car won't run right.

There is no reason to change the stock BOV. It is perfectly fine.

Oh no, I wasn't going for full vta. Was thinking of dual port 50/50 this still be fine right if going 50/50 as long I'm not full vta correct?

50/50 would still need a tune, i would suggest keeping the stock bov. Aftermarket is a waste if your stock bov can still hold the bosst

My stock, unmodded DV held 28psi on a BBX Lite. Intake and DV upgrades are a complete waste under 420whp or so, IMO.

Thanks Noize. Exactly what I've been saying the entire time. Don't know what the fascination is with mods that don't make power or benefit your car in any way. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Hey, Noize, can you rename the Show & Shine sub-forum to something like Show, Shine, & Sounds?

Agreed on ams however parts are getting limited as the company is focusing more attention to Gt-R . Ets is another strong company imo

With the AMS intake it gets loud. After the install I pulled over thinking I had some bad connections. There's a video of a guy driving with just the AMS intake installed to give you a good idea of how it sounds.m

Having the intake alone will make it loud enough. Do you have the sst or gsr, because if you have the sst, you won't have the noise until you take your foot off the accelerator, not during gear changes. Sst = 100% acceleration all the time

Not really a zero sum game. There is room to do both. We buy what makes us happy. First thing I got, because I didn't have the money to buy enough to make a HP difference but I wanted my car to be a little different than stock was the ETS intake. Loved the sound and that kept me entertained until I got gtworx springs, RCK and rear sway. That kept me entertained long enough to save up for exhaust, TP and first tune. And that kept me entertained long enough to go convert to E85 next week. After that, I'm thinking about finding a fq400 hood. Then maybe Ohlins coilovers then rebuild and big turbo. We can have our cake and eat it too. Just takes time. It's not just about performance. It's about making the car ours. And having Wicked White that task takes creativity.

It's a slippery slope saying we should only buy for performance reasons. If that were the end all be all why Evo? Nobody bought it because they liked the way it looks? We all enjoy performance but we also have those things that make it nice to look at or hear.
