Yeah, someone stole my car, totalled it, had it fixed and repainted it all while I was sleeping one night. I've owned the car since it had 32 miles on it.

You obviously don't know what the sun is like down in southern NM and how fast it can destroy paint, especially the horrible paint Mitsubishi uses.

Aww man, that is just heart-wrenching to look at... let us know what happened if you were even able to diagnose the issue after it was, from what it looks like, burnt to an effing crisp

yes, it blows. rather it blew: motor popped (no idea why), I pulled over, called the wife to vent that I just blew $5k out my tailpipe, talked to her a few minutes to calm down, called AAA to get towed and about 20 seconds into that call I noticed there was more smoke coming out than a few minutes ago, hung up & called 911, and about 10 minutes later (when that photo was taken) the FD showed up but it was pretty much too late.

Issues I had during my 100k tenure:
-clutch needed @ 41k (car was making 350awhp on E85/stock turbo)
-motor blew at 42k (bad tune, boosted 36psi and put a rod thru the block)
-CMC failed at around 65k (before they issued the recall, OFC)
-ACD pump failed at around 70k
-motor #2 popped just after 100k (this I have no idea why- had just fixed a couple of exhaust leaks to get fuel trims back in line, car was running great for about a week- confirmed by wbo2 and data logs. the only problem was an apparent faulty IAT that read about 40* lower than the actual temp. not sure if this could have caused it to pop, but it is the only issue I was aware of)

Possible leak in the sunroof seal/gasket? We had some freezing rain last night, and I noticed some water droplets around my console/shifter area when I got in the car this morning. Investigating further once we have more precipitation...
Well, we have about 15" of snow where I am. Car was completely covered overnight, but I didn't notice any leakage this time.

Mine has also been in the garage for the past 4 months. Too much salt on the road in North Dakota

2014 WW GSR w/ handling package
Mileage: 3,000km

This car is my daily driver and has given me no problems so far. In regards to the transmission being a little stiff/tight for a new car, it is completely normal. My Evo X is shifting like butter in all gears now. It was a little stiff when brand new but is really smooth now.

This is normal as the syncros and hub/sliders wear against each other. I have built countless DSM and Mitsubishi transmissions (race and stock specs) for a lot of the guys here in Canada, and every new transmission I build can be a little tight until broken in for atleast 1,000 kms
