Making a lease faster
Making a lease faster
First off I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for leasing, but the evo is my first car and I also I also learned how to drive stick on it.
So I was looking to make my leased evo faster without voiding warranty, any suggestions?

I was just checking Mitsu's website and saw "Lease: $309 per month / 24 months / $4,058 due at lease signing". Doesn't seem that bad of a deal. Were you happy with your lease deal, OP?
As far as modding and such, I found these threads.

I have a lease aswell. 3k down, payments for 315 month 24 month lease. Mods include tune and intake. I plan on keeping the car after lease and maybe resell. i personally dont think its a good idea to return a leased car. unless, you are in the business of losing money.
im leasing my evo for now i will end up keeping it. i put 5k Down was suppose to be 280 a month but ended up getting some extra protections like gap insurance wheel and tire protection and wear and tear coverage. i SHouldn't have got the wear and tear coverage but its whatever. came out to 330 ish a month.
My suggestion would be intake and cat back exhaust

I leased my 2014 MR - $2k for inception fees, $385 a month for 24 months. As long as you return the car back to stock when you turn it in, all should be fine. I would not recommend making any permanent modifications like drilling holes, etc. If you've already decided to buy it out at the end of the lease then you can mod however you want
by leasing terms you are not suppose to modify anything but if you just do bolt ons and take them off before your turn in you should be good. From warranty they can deny if they can link your mod to the damage so it is best to take off any mods before dealer visits to make the visit pain free as possible.

You would be better off to look at the things you can put on the car and remove when time to return to stock easily. Most of the bolt ons are pretty easy to do and quick to remove. The down pipe is the only thing I wouldn't want to mess with a second time. Although they are not the biggest power producing mods Cobb access port is super easy as well as ic pipes, intake, and exhaust. Don't take this the wrong way I don't know what your driving experience is but If I was in your situation I would spend the money on the driver mod. You have one hell of a first car learn to use what you have. The evo is more capable than most of the people who drive them. Even a few autocross events or HPDE will help make you faster than all of the parts you can easily modify and not worry about your warranty. It will also give you an idea of what you think needs to be changed on the car versus just throwing money at mods. If you can't get over the need for more power shop around for a used AP you can get the older version for around $250 its easy to use and easy to remove. You will notice the power increase from it.
