Dash command can show you the trims, no need for evoscan if you don't have it.
I'm looking thru the dash command app and I don't see a fuel trim section. Do I have to add the New gauge stern?

It will be in the OBD-II PID area. Short Term Fuel Trim, Long Term Fuel Trim

so i decided to put my test pipe back and move the o2 sensor towards the back and move the a/f sensor to the front. so far the code hasnt pop up but i can see it "pending". when i had it the other way around it popped up within 10 miles.

Which sensor is where? The sensor that the ECU uses for fuel trims NEEDS to be in the down pipe. It cannot be after the cat or it won't work. You shouldn't be moving sensors around.

No I have a test pipe with 2 bungs. I just swap the 2 NOT the one on the down pipe.

I don't think you are looking at the correct PIDS. The CEL you are getting is from fuel trims being out of spec.

I think you should take your car to your tuner and see what they think.

It's hard to diagnose over the internets.

So a little update: I was finally able to pass smog! After a long drive and a nice tune from Road Race the codes finally came up "ready". The guy at the smog place gave some tips. I almost fail the visual the second time even though i didnt change much. During the tune i decided to take off my mb controller and have a 3 port put in, thats a no-no and apparently you cant have a ethanol analyzer? lol the tech was cool though he just told me to put everything back to stock as possible for my next smog..in 2 years.

Do you have an open element intake? I haven't had to smog my Evo but I doubt they'll notice my GM 3-port.

I have an AEM intake with the lid close. He wrote that I have a carb sticker for it. If the techs **** he'll know what you did with the fuel and intake lines. I was surprise he didn't get he for just having a Boost gauge.
