Isn't Subaru going to redesign the Impreza in the next few years? I read something about that at NASOIC.

Cool New Evo X concept

I just saw the news on the Auto Express today. The new Evo X is going to producing at least 320bhp. Wow~! And it's going to on sale in the UK in mid-2007. I guess US won't get it until 2008 or 2009. For me the front of this car looks like Audi RS4 with smaller headlight. The rear looks like Mazda RX-8 with bigger wing. And the rear door looks like BMW. How weird! However, I love it . I am looking forward to see them on the road here.

I never liked the new concept look but the more I see these pics it's starting to grow on me. The power sounds good but I wonder what the final weight of the car is going to be.

Here's One I did that's a bit wider than stock. I left the front lip so you could see the difference.

+1, I agree. Why do so many people have a problem with the concept EVO X. We all know that things are toned down drastically prior to actual production.

Hey bounce - good job!

Could you photoshop a front plate on it?

Really, this car is awsome - I would only change rear wheelarches to something more aggresive.

BTW, for those that do not know - that SMG tranny works like a vibrator- it does the job better, but I would rather do it myself

^Hilarious.

I love the idea of a serious paddle shifter! My only serious problem with it would be that it might make it easier for my non-stick driving girlfriend to "borrow" my car.

Anybody notice in the pictures above(the fourth pic) that the front wheels are wider than the rears?

Anyone notice the rear seats.

Like the Pontiac GTO setup
The chrome weather strip along the door has got to go and the one on the A pillar over the roof. That is so gay.

Oh by the way we won't get that rear diffuser, and we won't get that interior.
and the UK version will have the black headlight & Taillight bezels, and we still won't get the new SSAYC

Why does this concept not look like a rally car? Who says how a rally car should look? There are a few completely different designs in the WRC at the moment and I think this concept would fit in. It still has the rally car details like the bonnet vents (that's the hood for you guys), rear wing, intercooler, flared wheel arches (there not box gaurds but it's only the VII to IX that have them. The IV to VI have gaurds more like these and the I to III have not much at all), big brakes, rear diffuser thing. You can tell this car is mean to be driven hard.

Then there is the gearbox that like someone said is like what the WRC cars use, although I'll have a normal manual thanks. Also this new hydraulic anti-roll thing sounds like it could be from the WRC as well. The rest of the drivetrain is the same as the current Evo.

For the people that don't like the interior I wouldn't worry I don't think that would make it to the production car like it is. I could be wrong though.

Hahaha! Couldn't agree more! The Evo was never meant to be a "pretty" car. Its simply a rip-snorting, evil, ugly, little monster!! Although I like the current Evos and miss my VII; this is most definitely a step in the right direction. I can't tell you how happy and giggly I am right now!! I'm so happy with this car. Yeeehaaaw! They've managed to somehow keep the aggressiveness (if not build on it!) but still made it more modern. Its so easy to just put bulges and flares on stuff.
