That is ~2,000 pounds more than what the current base UK EVO cost. It would likely mean that a US EVO "RS" would be $31,000-$32,000. With the same kind of bump, an "MR" would be close to $40,000.

LANCER EVOLUTION IX

LANCER EVOLUTION IX OTR
2.0 Turbo Evolution IX FQ-300 Manual (Petrol) £28,039.00
2.0 Turbo Evolution IX FQ-320 Manual (Petrol) £30,039.00

LANCER EVOLUTION IX MR OTR
2.0 Turbo Evolution IX MR Non Leather Manual (Petrol) £34,539.00

So to all those screaming oh its going to be sooooooo expensive its not, because those prices translate pretty much pound to dollar to ours , less so on the top end of the range, and the new X is going to slot right in where the GSR probably would, just like it should.

The car is going to just redefine bargain performance, this time with a little more style and luxury, lots of people are going to buy it...

Why is Mitsu still showing the Concept X? I figured they would only be showing the Prototype X from now on. I'm starting to wonder if the Concept X is the look of the Evo X for the Jap market?

The car will come with 'keyless GO'. Not sure if it'll just be an option of what.

Also, to answer an earlier question regarding the heat extractors behind the front wheels. Yes, according to Mitsu. they are functional in venting air from the engine and wheel well.

Probably because the Tokyo auto salon 2007 was on at the same time that the Detroit auto show was on and Mitsu only has one prototype to show to the public.

It says japan will recieve Evo X in september. I thought that the US was going to get the Evo X first for the first time ever. Just a little confused.
