Does'nt seem like alot of room to upgrade the turbo/O2 outlet

Look at all the long rubber intercooler hoses and piping.... I see boost leaks waiting to happen unless you upgrade right away....

Interesting that from the factory, the battery is in the trunk...great pics BTW...and where was the heat wrap when the EVO VIII's and IX's were being manufactured?

Its a prototype, no way in hell they will have a trunk mounted battery in the production model.

Actually it is the other way around. The pipes are getting wider coming from the turbo toward the intercooler!
That could also be just a prototype thing too...


Hmmm, you have a better suggestion on where to put the battery instead? Do you really believe that there is enough space inside the engine compartment for the battery? I don't think so! So, we might very well see it in the trunk!!

looks like a great daily driver to me... i wouldn't mind a quick auto/manual type deal..

not selling the IX.. paid off so just let it sit.. maybe build that up... as soon as these things come out parts are going to be a little cheaper for the viii's and ix's
