Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
I was the one that said that the X didn't look like it had an independent setup. If you look at one of the pics, it looks like it had double torsion bars like how subarus are setup. Not a lot of movement.
I hope the production model has an aluminum subframe, I wonder how they are losing weight when there are less aluminum suspension pieces... the engine must be very light

IIRC, the video said the seats, neon, and chronograph will NOT be in the production model.

With the control arms already almost perfectly parallel to the ground, any lowering past that point will hurt handling.
That's too bad, cuz it would look so much better lowered a little!

There's probably another inch to go before the control arms are parallel. Plus, we haven't seen the front setup yet. There could be more room for lowering up there.

In which he says the seats are "very close to the production units". He didn't really say one way or the other on the chronograph or "neon".

I hope its all there.
Hey, remember guys, this is the prototype show car. I assume it is already at a lower than production ride height, thus explaining the parrallel to the ground control arms. JUst a thought...
Un-dot? Its in the interior. The Mini Cooper S comes with LED accent lighting in the interior, as well as other new vehicles. Nothing illegal about it. Neon on the outside, however, is DOT regulated.
I remember reading that the interior strip lighting and lap timer are their hints of what tuners may be interested in once the evo 10 hits the streets, it was in no way indicative that it will be included in the final production.
It's like a conversation piece or cool-factor if you will. Most concept/prototype cars are over the top for this reason.

40k for the EVO X MR if they make an X MR
