Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
I still think the new block will hold 450hp like the old 4G63 block. It'll be a matter of proper mods and tuning.
Many said the same thing about SRT-4s and STIs right before they came out.
We can all reserve judgement until we have a real car to look at. Until then its all speculation.

Does anyone think that Mitsu would invest so much money to remake the EVO to make it worse. Specialy since they plan to go back to WRC with the new EVO, I don't think they are set to fail. If they weren't planning to make money of the new Lancer/RA/EVOX then why spend millions of dollars on redesigning all of them just to get crappy SALES and pull out of NA. Like some guys have said, this is a bold move by Mitsu to do this during their struggling times, therefore they must be very confident that it will work for them. IMO i believe that it will.
I'm not too crazy about it but I know it will grow on me. I felt the same way about the VIII compared to the VI but now the VI just looks old. I also hated the new BMW's and agreed that the previous models were better looking, but new cars nowadays just make make the older ones look like dinosaurs. Designers seem to have so much more freedom now.
This is a refined version of the X. The IX begs for the track and looks slightly out of place around town, this car looks positively gorgeous (if it at all resembles the X concept). I'll most likely be getting one.
Why are people complaining about the styling, it's agressive, it's going to be wide body kinda like the 7/8/9. I think the only way that some of you will like the X is if it looks like the 8/9 and it wont. So if you like the 8/9 so much and hate the X, then upgrade to 9s while they last because the EVO has EVOLVED and it is the X
I remember on this forum when the pictures of the IX were released and there were a lot of people saying they didn't like the holes on the front bumper. Some went as far as to say they wouldn't buy a IX because they like the looks of the VIII better. Going back further, people said they didn't like the VIII because they liked the VII better.
It's just my guess, but when the X comes out and people start seeing the power and superior handling of the new platform, the same folks from above will be switching to the X without much complaint.

Ya im sure ppl will wanna buy it wen it comes out, i even may, but wen i looked at the pictures from the other forum on page 1 the interior just reminds me of the new fords and shelby, it just has a hard design to it
but i can tell you that i will not be one those who switches
