its nice, but just like the performance level of an sti to evo. im pretty sure the rallairt to wrx should be the same. well i assuming the 08 wrx will have more power than the ralliart, but im pretty confident the ralliart will have better handling then the wrx.

i used to own a boosted 03 lancer so i love mitsubishi's for supplying me with a fun little car. Ill build some equity and see if i can buy a RA or X. if not ill just wait.

You can guess all you want but all EVO X write ups say it will be lighter than current version.

I would be willing to bet those write-ups are wrong and I've said so before. After you add all the newly required safety equipment, the car isn't going to be any lighter. We'll see who is right soon enough.

I guessing close to the same weight as the current Evo. It's going to have more stuff and be slightly bigger (from what I've read) but, it's loosing an iron block for an aluminum one which should be a substantial weight savings and I'm sure they will find a few other areas to trim the fat.

can someone help me out here.

Right now we have all seen the Prototype X, not technically the Evo x. At the Detroit motor show we will see the Prototype X again right? So why are people making a big deal about it? Is it simply another prototype that is one step closer to the Evo X?

Concept X, which came out at 2005 Tokyo Auto Show, is the first step towards the actual Evo X. Prototype X, which will debut at 2007 Detroit Auto Show, is a second (final) step towards the actual Evo X. There probably will be few differences between the Concept X and Prototype X and it will be interesting to see what did they change and what did they improve. Judging by the regular new Lancer photos I am guessing that the roofline will slightly change and of course the headlights and tail lights could be altered. And people get excited about it because afterall it's the all new Evo that will come out of it, the first major redesign since 1991/92.

thanks for the info. don't get me wrong, i know why ppll are excited over the evo x, i just wasn't sure why they were over whats coming out in detroit. So does anyone know how close the prototype will be to the final model? Is the prototype closer to the concept or the evo x?
