i can concur. although i do believe they made the new eclipse to be a lot beefier then it really was. its all part of the game when introducing and selling a new car

Well my personal opinion I like the evo8 the 9 with that mivec system its just so blah thats why they only made the 9 for 1 year or if the rumors are true because of the side air bags but the evo 10 should be alot different not a 4g63 from the rumors but I would actually stick with a 8 but since you have a 9 thats no help so stick with the 9 until the 10 comes out and people destroy them left and right like the 9 than after all the problems are fixed get a 10 dont know if that made any sense but whatever who am i anyway lol
the evo8 has turbo-lag which the mivec takes care of in the 9.
It would be close to impossible for me to trade in my car as i'm just a college student... but if I did have the option I would probably wait for the 2nd year 'X' just so they can fix all the tweaks that they might have for first year car. (ie 2005+ 8s having a front helical and ACD)
I'll be sure to cover every nook and cranny!!! You'll be seeing gas caps and seat belts LOL (but not kidding, whatever is allowed to shoot!!!)
Hopefully, every inch is allowed to be covered. I don't know if it's gonna be behind a rope or not, but I'll do my best!

if that's true... then i guess you're saying that the evo 9 is uglier than the 8 all the way to the first evo. and the 8 uglier than the 7, and so on...
so does that mean you'll take an evo 3 over the 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 because it's older and "not as ugly"?

It is so obvious that previous Evo owners are just jealous, because the Evo X will destroy their older Evo when it comes out. Stock for stock older Evos will die and get humiliated after they die when pitted against the Evo X.
Who cares about the looks anyway? Evos are all about performance. In my subjective opinion the Evo X is the best looking Evo yet. Comparing the 10 to the 8 and 9 the 8 and 9 look like outdated toaster ovens.
