I don't know about you guys but I am not felling the red "Evo X" thats been in a lot of autoshows and in magazines. IMO I think it's a piece of **** and looks horrible and not original(looks like all the other futuristic cars that have been coming out). The picture of this drawn concept evo looks "Flawless and aggressive" and if this came out as the "Evo X" I would jump on this in a minute and pay top dollar for it. If comes out with that bergundy red model that has been all over the media I think is going to take a fall (just like Subaru with their redesigned 06' STi).
I didn't pay for the looks of the IX, I don't plan to pay for the looks of anything. Unless my girl wants new *****.

Ehhhhhhh, get over it, properly shaped aluminum is as strong as cast iron engines while weighting a lot less.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I probably forgot to mention the most important thing, aluminum also conducts heat a whole lot better than iron.

That car looks like a Dodge, too squared, sorry but I prefer the more sleeker real Concept-X version. Mitsubishi can't afford to go with more American designs, they need something fresh, sleek, modern, unique, more European (I like what Mazda did starting with 3 and 6, do you remember how Mazda cars looked before the 3 & 6 came in to the market? They looked horrible but 3 & 6 was a big step forward in design for them. And off-topic again, I just don't understand what is all the fuss about new Civic and how all the press calls it unique, to me it looks like a shrinked Accord with interior not suitable for anyone who is 5'11 or taller)

What aluminum has going against it though is that as the temperature rises, aluminum loses it's strength faster than iron/steel. I'm not against an aluminum block engine, but the temperature dependence of the strength is something to consider.

Seems obvious that Mitsubishi will make the block strong enough for the stock motor, but will they build it strong enough to handle 2x or 3x the original hp?
