I didn't read every post but, I do like the quailty of the cars built in Japan compared to America...thats why I ALWAYS bought foreign. I honestly hope they keep making the EVO in Japan for Quailty sake. The only problem is when you need something major for your car i.e. (bumper or headlamps Stock) cause of an accident its a pain in the *** cause its all made in Japan and you have to wait forever for things to get shipped over here.

Dude, I've heard rumor of a non-4g63, but nothing that stupid. I've heard of the possible Turbo 2.4L and that maybe being the reason they left the WRC (it's not a 2.0L).

I think it's just a bad idea not to use the 4G63 though. It's very proven.

I spoke with my local Mitsu dealer and he is telling me I can place order in November 2007 for EVO X, and that I can expect to get it in January 2008. I know I've seen people saying that they'll be in the US in spring of 2007, but he denied that it would be that early. Then he tried talking me into the IX MR on his lot. (Tempting!!!) I'm gonna wait though.

The car hasn't even been finalized for production yet. NOTHING is definite concerning the powertrain, drivetrain, exterior, interior, etc. Let alone the release date.

I wouldnot be suprised when the Evo first was announced it was coming to the US. I put 5k down in November of 2002 and did not get my Evo until March of 2003. And oh it was well worth the wait will the X be that good also I'm not sure? Everytime I see a Dodge Caliber I wonder how they are going tobe able to pull of the X. Best of luck on your decision.

 

I'm not sure about that. I would be very surprised if the evo X came out before Jan 08. It sucks that it will be that long but it seems that the X still has a long way to go before production.

All of us are waiting for the numbers and price to be relased. I've heard close to the MR but a few thousand more, but no one knows for sure and won't know for months. Just gotta be patient, its hard though
