Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
I think that the majoity of the current Evos owners will take a step back and wait. With this new Evo X everything has to be tested. In paper the Evo X should be an improvement but everyone is very conservative and have reservations.
I am also going to wait, I decided to put as many miles as posible on my Evo 8 MR for now then see if it is worth changing the Evo 8 MR for the Evo X, either way I think it will be another 2 years before anyone has true final veredict on the performance of the new Evo X.

For those that are going, I hope you guys take tons and tons of pics of every detail of the X.
Plus, does anyone know if Mitsubishi will show the Lancer RALLIART at Detroit?

I just received an email from
announcing the debut of the new '08 lancer in the Jan 8 show. They also promise to unveil the prototype or concept "X". I imagine that the EVO X will be based on the new Lancer model and the "X" prototype will be pretty much what the new EVO X is likely to look like. I think it will be interesting to see those cars......

No, they won't be showing Lancer Ralliart. Just Lancer and Prototype X.

With the increased strength of the safety shell + side and curtain airbags+ larger wheels and tires + a higher level of creature comforts, don't be surprised if we see Evo X come in 250-300lbs. heavier than the current car.
