Concept X rear underbody

I haven't seen any pics like this yet, so I think I'm the only one who has them. I was able to snap a couple pictures of the X's rear underbody. I tried to get the front, but it's got a 1/2 ton of underbody trays up there. You can at least see enough to know how the stock exhaust is setup, and well as the rear suspension. Also worth noting, the new base Lancer's exhaust shares the exact same path, and the hangers are probably identical, so the base Lancer guys should have a lot more aftermarket options.

Sorry for the somewhat small size, had to get them below 100k to host here.

Awesome stuff. Thanks. As I look at these, I laugh at the thought of the guy who said the Evo concept looked like it didnt have rear independant suspension. Also, I cant wait until this gets grouped intothe giant Evo X thread. That thing is too big and impossible to reference.

I posted it seperate since it's a specific discussion related to two parts of the new car, and not chatting about the car as a whole. Hopefully the mods in this area will leave it on its own.

What interests me the most is the sway bar setup. Looks like it has a lot of more clearance as if the suspension guys have been moved upward

The whole setup interests me. Have to say though that lower control arm/subframe is pretty cheap looking compared to the VII/VIII/IX forged aluminum piece. Wish I had more angles to see how the lateral links tie into the sway bar and shock...

The control arm is still aluminum. It's just the toe link that isn't. Looks interesting. So much for a flatter underside.

S-AYC is one reason why prices are higher in Europe.

It's half serious.... We all know it's the 10- but it is being called the "X" at dealerships and such. Just wondering what Mitsu wants it to be called. Maybe they're wanting to phase out the numbering of the evo models? I was just curious after being at a mitsu dealer this weekend. I kept mentiong the evo 10 and it's new options and the sales people and even other customers were just raving about the "X" not the "10". At one point I was like "uhhhmmm should I be saying "X" as well?" aha

And what's with all the animosity? I thought it was a valid and funny question becuase I'm basically talking about the non-evo or non-car knowing crowd and yet I'm like being mocked by people with under 100 posts.
