Hey thanks for all the positive feedback

This is SilverF4Turbo from nasioc, I forgot I had a log-in over here as well from when I was promoting the University of Maryland charity spring meet last year in the Mid-A regional forum.

I started the photoshop after my friend brian who owns a 99 GSX was going off about the looks of the new Evo saying that it didn't look like an evo, and it looked too luxury. You wouldn't look at it and automatically think 2.3L stroker and GT35R

The photoshop started out to just blackout/dechrome the grille, fill it with a larger FMIC, and change the headlight shape a bit... just to show how it could look better -- and more aggressive -- with a few simple changes... but like anything I've photoshopped I got carried away. :P

But WOW at the responses. I'm really glad this got posted over here and actual Mitsu enthusiasts are digging the design too If someone is massively hooked up at Mitsu please send this in and maybe get them to release the Evo XI like this or something lol

Thanks again!!

& =

one love.

- John

The Evo needs cruise control.

Definitely needs it for long drives. The Evo slows down too quickly when you let off too much on the gas. So I have to constantly put pressure to maintain highway speeds. If i don't pay attention, I start to see cars pass me. I wonder why then I notice I am slowing down! I need to give my foot a rest. That is why I like to drive my dad's WRX on long trips, he has cruise control.
i rented a 350z in Vegas one time. During drives on the interstates it cruises at high speeds like it's at home. You can let off the gas and not have too much drop in speed.

trying to be a 4 cylinder BMW. Interior looks like crap and not digging the rear end or the front bumper/headlights. AYC and cruise is nice though. I hear its not going to be very mod friendly.

Although I would not like paying $4000 to get my license I do think its too easy to obtain and keep a license in the US and that it should be moved in the direction of they way European countries do it. Instead of making all of us suffer and impose on our privacy by installing watch dog chips in our cars, I think it people should be made to appreciate the privilege it is to have a license and drive a car rather then thinking its their God given right. If it cost a little more, was a little harder to get, if you had to prove your skill every so often, had a higher minimum age requirement, etc that might go a long way in lowering accident rates.

I was so glad to see the huge b pillar pics of the Lancer door sills in that Mitsu is going out of their way to make the car safer, especially in side impacts. If the base Lancer chassis is stiffer then the current Evo, I wonder if they'll be able to improve on it that much for the X with further chassis enhancements - as in, willl the gap between the X and the new Lancer be as wide as the gap between the current Lancer and Evo as far as the chassis is concerned - or will it even be necessary to reach their performance goals?

the DSG naysayers don't know what they are talking about...

no human can shift faster than a computer...

i've been driving a DSG car for over a year, and i don't think i'll ever chose to go back to a clutch pedal...

Very nice chops. But why not do the chops with the way that the car will actually look like, meaning the same shaped headlights as shown by mitsu. Do the chops with what the car can be made to looks like with the already existing design.

cause thats not the point of him doing the chops. His point was to show people HIS view of what the new EvoX should be, by revising the concept version.

My wife and I just bought a brand new '07 Outlander XLS with the DSG tranny / paddle shifters. I guess it the same tranny technology that is going into the EVO X. However, let me tell you that thing is smoooooooth! It shifts very fast and clean.

I don't know about never going back to a clutch though......always love that control....;-)

I was thinking the X will have something simiar to Outlander but with more agresive shifts.

I know in the BMW M5 you can control your shift speed. This would be good haveo on the X.
