HOW TO: Install Factory Bluetooth into Evo X GSR
Good write up of interior removal, but... it seems a little much for bluetooth??? Unless your are going for an OEM look??? But you can find quality bluetooth units for pretty cheap, and WAY less install hassle. Same goes for the other thread on adding a nav unit... the install kit is only like 40 bux from crutchfield and after market nav units are getting cheaper everyday (Glad I saved my AVIC/bluetooth)
Still have to compliment the thread though, this may be one of the easiest dashes I've ever takin apart

Awsome write up, it's definatly helped me and not just with blue tooth install.
I had a quick question that I haven't been able to dig up, yet.
I have a evo x GSR, it came w/ bluetooth stock, but I ditched the stock sound sytem and installed an aftermarket Alpine amp. I've since lost my blue tooth, however my phone recognizes the system in the car, and apprenetly the BT module is still working as sometimes i'll get calls in the car and i'll answer and it'll patch it through to in-car. Basically what I'm getting at, do I just need to do some modifications and somehow get the sound delivery from the module to output to my now aftermarket sound system? or is there more to it that's integrated w/ the stock stereo? Any help is greatly appreciated, the BT is one of my favorite features of my GSR and I really don't want to get rid of it or install a different module.

So all you have is an aftermarket amp? With a stock system? If thats the case I cant see why it doesnt work.
Just a question, I have a 2009 lancer ralliart , bluetooth ready (so basically I have the AWC control already near my cup holders and the phone control already on my steering wheel) Does that mean I can just place in the bluetooth module, hook up the harnesses to the module and microphone , get the mitsu dealer programming , and then im set to go? And does anyone know if the 2010 bluetooth module has fuse or is it only the 2011 and up?

not sure about the dealer programming but i never had to visit the dealer to make this work. i just followed the instruction and after putting everything back in bluetooth was working already,.

"I ditched the STOCK SOUNDSYSTEM, and installed and aftermarket AMP" so yes I"m running an aftermarket deck. I know this has to work as I can't see to much of the factory bluetooth being dependant on the stock radio. Maybe sometime this week i'll sit down and play around w/ the module.
