Dealer unable to activate

So I installed everything last weekend, went to the dealer today and they charged me $70 to hook it up to the computer and then told me that they couldn't activate it. Any ideas? I'll check all the connections again... anyone have luck activating at any SF Bay Area dealers? I went to Serramonte and they wouldn't tell me anything other than, "we cannot activate it".

Thanks to this thread I was able to add the radio control switch and relocate the traction switch to the blank on the dash. Very straight forward from the directions from the OP!!! Thanks alot I love this mod.

you may not need to get it programmed... I have done about 9 of these already and the car was able to recognize the bluetooth immediately. Hope this helps.

Did they switch the wires at the center console?
thats the main key thing..... need to do that otherwise it wont recognize the bluetooth.

sorry to bring up an old thread but, for those of you with bluetooth and are also running exhaust...do you or the person on the other end of the line ever complain about noise (exhaust) being picked up on the bluetooth?
i like having bluetooth but dont wanna do it if the other person can only hear my exhaust.

you should not have to go to the dealer. I installed mine, and reconnected the battery.
The computer/ multi communication system does a scan and saw the new phone.
you should see a phone on you screen (btm left corner).

All I need to do was pair my phone with the system by following the prompts from the system.

that it works great, I called the service manager from my car. I think I was the second one who did this at the time and the dealer was not sure it would work, and Mitsubishi told them not to do the install.

they could sell me the parts but could not do the work in case something went wrong. I believe they just want to sell the MR with it because all the wiring is there, just need the parts.

Can anyone confirm if it can be installed without problems if you do NOT have the Navi? I have the SSS Pack on my car but no Navi. I'm considering doing this soon but I don't want to have to go get the car serviced at the dealer. Thanks

If you don't have nav you'll have to go to the dealer to reprogram your car's computer to recognize the Bluetooth module. Most dealers seem to charge $70 for this.

Did the steering wheel audio control/awc swap over the weekend and it was a breeze. Even with the pictures being down. Great write up by Ant. Thanks.

Is this what the steering wheel looks like externally after the bluetooth switches are installed?

can anyone take pics of this area of the steering wheel after the bluetooth switches have been installed?
