For all u guys that installed the bluetooth, do you have problems where the person on the other end can't really hear you? (mic volume too low)

Finally!!

I do my installation on my GTS with GSR steereing wheel, the only problem was to fit properly the switch.

In my experience the bracket of my bluettoth on the GTS steereing wheel help me a lot so i dont used glue just the bracket from my GTS.

Thanks OP! I got these parts for Christmas as well as the new covered cup holder and installed it on Sunday. You're write up was spot on and helped A TON! Thank you so much for this wonderful write up! You weren't joking when you said you have to wiggle the steering wheel to get it off those screws! lol

THANKS AGAIN!!!

NICE write up! How much was total price of parts for everything? I know it will vary a bit, but ballpark?!

Ok, so I installed the bluetooth module and the microphone first and thought I would be able to get away without installing the steering wheel buttons for the bluetooth. Well that didn't work. I bought the steering wheel buttons and hooked it up but still couldn't get the BT to sync up.

Stumped, I read the post carefully and found that switching the controls for the AWC to the steering wheel controls was what was needed. I switched the wires for the pin outs and it worked.

Thanks Antic22!

there's a reason why you should always read long DIYs thoroughly before starting.

Well, my situation was a little different. I didn't install the steering wheel controls so I skipped that portion. Actually, I think it's a good tip. A lot of people had trouble with setting up their Bluetooth and this could be the reason.

This actually works out better, because when the switch was on the steering wheel, it was easy to hit it by accident during turns.... Now, the steering wheel controls are all flush and I get to control my radio on the left, and my cruise on the right....

I couldnt agree more...I'm always hitting my AWC switch on the wheel. I think I'll re-locate it just to get it off of there

I would like to relocare the headlight adjustment and the ASC button next to the AWC button in the center... is this easy, or is there any easy way to do this?

So I am currently trying to rewire the pins but am having trouble pulling out the black harness itself from the center console. In order to remove the black harness from the center console, do I just pull up? or do I push it forward toward the shift knob, or backward away from the shift knob?

It feels like it'll snap off, I just want to make sure I unhook this properly so i can get better access to the wire pins.

So a word of advice, slide a thin screw driver between the black harness and the plastic that attaches the the harness from behind where the wires are showing and then push forward (you can't just push forward since there is kind of a tooth on the plastic attaching the black harness that prevents just pushing forward, hence the reason a small thin screwdriver is needed to slide through to push the black harness up slightly). Wish I had known this beforehand, I ended up pulling up and snapping a bit of the plastic off of the black harness, but was able to get it out and the pin removal was easy. Now my bluetooth works finally.
