I have read through a lot of pages in the thread but can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. Do the steering wheel audio controls work with the base model GSR stereo? I have no interest in the bluetooth side of things.

do like the awc switch on the dash though.

Does anyone know if the AWC switch can be moved to the spot next to the ASC switch under the steering wheel as opposed to the center console? Is there a pre-existing wire like that in the center console to modify? I have something installed in the center console and don't want to relocate it if I don't have to.

Thanks. Does Mitsubishi sell an plug and play extension for that connection or will I need to solder new wiring?

Yes, that is how the 2010s come from the factory.

You can do this without extending any wires. I successfully did this a few days ago. Someone in the RA forums did a write-up on it. You have to remove some plastics on the center console and lower dash, and you don't have to take out your steering wheel. Took me about an hour or so. Worst part about it was trying to remove enough black tape to allow the AWC wires to reach. All together not bad tho and looks better. I picked up the tray for the center console from my local dealership for $11.

seems pretty complex, but the payoff seems worth it if you can pull it off.

Hi Guys, (first time posting)

I have a UK 2008 Lancer GS4 - 2.0 DI-D. It didnt come with the factory bluetooth installed so i thought i would have a look and follow this thread. I took the light fitting out and had a look, there are no wires behind the light for the microphone. I had a good rummage around and make 100% the wires were not hidden. Do you know if this thread only applies to US models?

I am of the understanding that the GS4 is the top of the range (appart from the ralliart model) and is same as the GTS i think, clarification needed of course.

Any Thoughts?

Would this work with the factory mmcs navi of I just install the Bluetooth module and microphone without the voice control and the other buttons?
