Great write up!

I put my boost sensor a bit closer to the 'T' on the intake mount at the front.

Also I have huge hands so trying to get at the fuses was a nightmare for me! So instead of grounding in there I put the ground on a blot just left of the foot rest at the carpet level. There are 2 grounds already going into to also.... I found that to be ALOT easier!

Anyone install AEM boost digital/analog. Tried the firewall grommet no go on that wire cluster too thick. Ran it down the fender and wire is too short, so now i need to splice it. Just wanted to see before i do that if any one had a better idea. No i will not make vacuum line longer and let my sensor sit inside my fender thats dumb.(Moisture) Any imput. I feel like i should email AEM and tell them they are cheap for making the wires that short.

Thanks for the write up! Even if people run the wiring a different route just having the info on where to get power from saves a lot of time.

There is a write for widebands. It goes under the passenger seat.

what is vampire/ t tap? so to get the dimming function on later evo x models you would have to tap the green & white wire to work? why not the hazard fuse?

what do you mean by t tap? is it like splicing the white wire from the boost gauge into the green & white on the leveling headlight/asc?

Finally got it done. Surprisingly everything went smooth as butter up until the wiring part.

Long story short one trip to Advance Auto and tons of ghetto rigging later the car fires up like a champ (hoping it doesn't blow up or catch fire or both) and the boost gauge works and does its thing but I observed two very obvious things.

1. Those that said 20 minutes must be talking about their 15th install and had everything laid out before getting started otherwise bunch of liars. Took me all morning 9:30 to about 2:00 PM to get it all done.

2. My prosport on a test drive peaked at 27-28 PSI.... this is on a bone stock 2012 Evo X with a 3.5in single catback.... seems a bit high. Either I have a monster, a time bomb, or the stupid acquarium hose that came with it is jacked up somewhere. Installing the sensor etc. I made sure nothing was kinked or there were sharp angles on the boost line.

Anyone care to chime in?

Could be the Prosport is reading high. How long did it stay at 27-28?
