before i forget, the PHX area is around 1250ft elevation in a valley with stagnant air that never gets blown out.

& tell that Warrtalon to go get laid or something. i don't understand why he has to bash someone who is doing better than him all the time. he still has yet to take up my offer of his car runnig 12's here. heck, i'd even pay his gas out here & back just to see him run a 13.2...

like i said man, PM me or call Mynes. they are in Mesa. I'm in Tempe. a little drive for you but it would be well worth it.

Hah, right. That's why I ran 12.8 with only one mod (S-AFC) on 93oct...

The 102 oct was just an attempt at hitting 12s with less than $1500 in mods, dude. 12.1 is not just "12s," it's DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP into the 12s. I'll say whatever I want whenever I want...

I'm such a Warrtalon fanboi.

The guy is PROVEN, if you don't like his advice then you really don't want the truth. It may be harsh, but it IS truth.

when has he been proven? does he have time slips from englishtown? I dont care about some local track..who with a reputable background on this forum has seen warralton run a 12.1?? ps. warralton your car only weighs 3400 lbs?? ur a skinny little b*tch huh? 3400-3285= 115 lbs? good luck if you ever run into any of the people you **** off on these forums

ps. I think its funny that the evo stock runs a 13.4 with a professional driver..hence most people with stock evos run high 13s yet you seem to have taken 3 tenths off of even a professional drivers time..you must be SOOOOO great..here let me get on warraltons d*ck too...if you're so great at dragging why dont u make it your living? why dont you go get a car that was meant for dragging? why dont you gain some weight?

you act like you're a GOD for running 12s. you are also judging people who are kindly asking for advice. i ran 12s well over a year ago and you're stuck there. so what. leave the newb alone. he's just getting started. crap like that scares people away from here when honestly this site can be geat for someone who doesn't know much. yes i know i only ran an 11.92 but that was a year 18 months ago and i've been in iraq for the past 8months. if you want to pick on someone please pick on me cause i've already dropped 10k in my evo and im about to drop 18k more. so go ahead and hate away. i'd like to thank good ole uncle sam for helping me out on that one. someone is always faster and someone is always better so why not help the ones who politely ask instead of discouraging them. good luck with your life.

[QUOTE=fst4door]Don't be haten, add this up I also have a house and wife that i take care of. I'm a grown *** man and I work for mine. It really is not that important what you have to suggest if your going to be an *** about it.

everyone else who has some positive feedback..... good lookin out [/QUOTE

look man, ignore all the hating on here. if you're going to invest that much in your evo make sure you call around and get different quote from other shops. even if a good shop is not close the long drive may be worth it. i can tell you from experience that 8k is very hig to achieve 12s with labor and whatever else they want to charge you for. you definetly have to pay to play, but take your time on this one. i hope you come out on top and get what you want. take care and good luck.

Here is my "cheap" rundown
air fliter $50---homemade mbc $20---S AFC $300 --100octane($370 in parts) = 12.50@109
Then I added a 3" tb $750 ($1120 in parts) = 12.3@113

I have timeslips from Englishtown, yes, and I'm on video if you look at them. I ran a 12.45 at 97 on that video after missing 5th. Yes, I'm human. Who said the stock 05 Evo runs 13.4 with a professional driver. Magazines may list 13.4, but they aren't pulling 1.7x 60's on those runs, and that's the most important part of drag racing. The 05s are capable of 12.9 with good driving. My 13.1 was with only a 1.92 60', which sucks. Several others on here have hit 13.0 at 105 on regular 05 GSRs. I didn't even do as well as those guys, and I've admitted/pointed-that-out several times. Yes, I'm a skinny b*tch...yeah, good one. I guess you didn't think about how much my MR weighs with a much lighter exhaust and no spare tire or tools, did you?

You want to know which reputable people have seen me run? I'll give you a few names: locam, EVO8LTW, MadMsheen, Mikey52, Wallyevolution, Ivan_C. I don't know which ones you consider reputable, but Ivan is the one who just dyno'd 360 on Buschur's MD and has run 11s on both the stock turbo and WR. EVO8LTW also has an Evo with a WR turbo and has seen me run 12.34 at 110.7 at MIR. Or...you could ask any of the several hundred people that went to E-town and saw me run a 12.52 at 81 after slamming on my brakes near the end to ensure my bracket racing win. That's on video, too. I hope that you understand that a 12.52 at 30less mph means an easy 12.2 if not 12.1. OH, again, you can ask all these people how "skinny" I am, too.

I would love to drag race for a living, but I'm not that good, and I don't drag my car often. I only do it to see how much my most recent mods have helped me. I don't see why I should go get a "drag" car when I only do it ever so often to test my mods. Does this make sense to you? I sure hope you are able to understand this simple concept. I spend more time autocrossing than anything else...

my car is an 03 evo 8 everything oem also this car is my daily driver and will not see any track time just looking for a kicka$$ streetcar

thanks in advance
I wouldnt take it to that shop first off. They sound like a bunch of morons. For one, they want you to spend 8k with them so you make them rich or secondly, they actually think that to be true and arent worthy of working on anything.

Your friend witht he turbo eclipse might be misinformed. Remember, Eclipses all need intercooler upgrades, 2gs need turbo upgrades, injectors, then all the regular bolt ons to get near the 12s. As much as their similar in modding, the EVOs have bigger and better turbos, FMIC, bigger injectors, better MAF, better exhast manifolds, 02s, etc.

Ive spent only $3100 and Im more than sure I can go low 12s. Most people with my power go in the 12.1-12.3 range. Since you have an 03, I reccomend getting a 10.5 turbine housing to help you out some more. Its cheap and effective.

Uh, what? I never said running 12s was anything special, nor have I acted like a God. What does it matter when you ran 12s or how long ago it was? Did you run 12s with _1_ mod? No. Did you run 12.1-12.2 with self-tuning and less than $1000 spent in mods? Who said I was stuck at 12s anyway? I hit 12.2 two times ago, then hit 12.1 my last time in 95 degree weather. I still have stock cams, stock intake, stock ic, stock piping, stock turbo. You ran your 11.9x at 117mph, and I hit 12.1 at under 111. Imagine what I would do with enough power to hit 117mph. I'm glad Uncle Sam is providing you some cash, but if you were smart, you wouldn't dump 18k into the Evo...you'd do something useful with it. The fact you spent 10k already to go 11.9...well, that's sad.

My bet is that he ends up blowing all that cash on a car with lots of good parts but has trouble beating SRT-4s on the highway, since that's the only place he'll race, then he'll come back here complaining...

Now, if he wants to prove me wrong on these assumptions, I'll glady offer my suggestion on how to hit low 12s (12.1) for less than $1500, then make a few suggestions on how to spend the other $3500.
