well i just got my car today and its a silver 03 with 28000 miles. so i get home and there is a SES light, im like WTF already? so i check the oil. its really dark, wipe it off and pull it out. not ene any on the stick. can that cause the light? also its there a light to let you know when to change your oil? and if so where is the switch so shut it off???

There is a low oil pressure light that would pop on first(hopefully). Get the code scanned, bet you its a P0300.

 

well there is no oil on the dip stick so i think thats it, i hope. but low oil and low oil psi are diffrent so they should not share the same gague right???

Man not to sound like a ***** but take the car to any Autozone, Advance Auto etc and they can tell yu exactly what the code is. If your driving a turbo car with no oil in it you probably shouldnt own a turbo car to begin with. Thats death in so many ways. Relax, take a deep breath, get some syn oil, fill it then take it to the parts store and find out what the code is.

 

i would but its 12 here and nothign is open i went to shell and got some oil. tomrrow i will have them scan it. so hopefully its no big deal.

 

Synthetic Oil I hope? And please tell me you didnt drive it with the oil that low.

 

autozone is open 24 hour a day and yes go borrow the obd2 reader and see what it is. my car has thrown 4-5 service engine soon lights already with only 18,000 miles...go check and pull the code so we can help you better.
