a LIL problem......
a LIL problem......
Driving my Evo I now have a lil problem. First off I got it just 1 week ago. Got it used with 13K on it. Now the clutch is completly diffrent then when I test drove it. I have to let it ALL the way up to have it in gear. Makes it a pain to take off. And when i am driving i step on the gas and it just revs up like it is in nuetral or like im holding in the clutch even though it is actually in gear and my foots off the clutch then finally takes off lke i droped the clutch. You guys think it my clutch gone bad or worse??? thanx in advance for the feedback.
yeah your lookin at around $1500 dealer installed (thats what my dealer said)....i got mine used with 15k on it....clutch was dead a week after i got it.....i took it back and *****ed....they turned me down and i ended up having to half of the $1500....they paid the other half
Do people just dog the hell out of these cars? I have nearly 50k miles on mine and the clutch still feels brand new, and my brakes are still fine as well. Do I need to be rougher on the car or something?

Bogging wouldn't hurt the clutch. IT's slipping that heats it up and wears it out. If your clutch and brakes feel like new at 50k miles, then you likely never use your Evo whatsoever for its intended purpose.
380254, unfortunately, it appears you'll be joining the legions of people who thought they were getting a good deal on a used Evo only to find the clutch is bad AFTER purchasing it then needing to spend $1500 to fix it. Next will be the tires, then the brakes, then the synchros in the tranny...

But on that note, if I choose not to launch my car, does that mean I am not using it as intended?
