I didn't have any problem test driving the STI, due to the fact that I showed up to the Subie dealership in my Dad's new H2 Hummer. The salesmen were jumping around frantic trying to find the keys. However, during the test drive the Subie's seats felt cramped and not very sporty, and the Subie's engine rev'd much louder and sounded like it was going to blow up when wraped out. The whole car was more cramped. I love the feel of my Evo, except for the build quality of the tranny and weak stock clutch. I'm always getting a bit of a grind from shifting unless my tranny is hot, which is hard to do in Colorado during the winter.

I originally cared for them both an equal amount. (They really are similar) They were both pretty ugly, had positive and negative things, I got the evo, no lie, because I thought the hood looked mean. Then the rest of the car sort of grew on me.
Understeer...
When it comes to the Evo and STI it's really a matter of preference. I believe Jeremy Clarkson said that the STI's were always a little better to live with, while the Evo was always the better one to drive. This is the general view on both of these cars. So when I considered the Evo/STI, what do I want more of, comfort or driving ability?

I see the Subbies as being the Japanese equivalent of the Scandinavian Saab's, or is it Volvo's. But whatever floats your boat!
