MS3 is faster than a MkV GTi. The GTi weighs more and has far less power than a MS3.

MS3 can take a 03-04 Evo 8 from a roll.

Shiv was tweaking around with one, maybe he can shine some light on the subject of this bench race. In the end, straight line performance isnt crucial to me anyways.

The new GTI wasn't too far behind me at the track when i was stock, definitley not a slow car by any standards. I can imagine if the ms3 is faster.......

this race has been done by couple friends of mine

stock 04 evo

dig evo by 2
20 roll even
40 roll ms3 by 1
80 roll ms3 by 3

very nice cars, and how often do u really race from a dig?

i rarely run digs on the street... and on the track u get get another set of rims for 200$ and put slicks on it... so u can have awd traction with any car for 500....
awd is just safer in the wet and close call situations.. unless u race ur car on a track

ams take off the cat & catback (downpipe in place), added a mbc and produced 269whp and 320 trq

take off the down pipe and thats probably another 15whp and more trq

the right up evo alley... i dont believe they increased boost, it just holds it better and helps the spool they said

Yea, if they didnt have the torque management in first and second gears we might be in trouble from a dig too.

no!

not in the track, not in the street..... we tried that with a used stock VIII, a brand new IX and mazdaspeed.

Could not keep up at midrange and top end! Gearing in mazdaspeed is not helping it! This is IMHO!
