Boost Problem

I noticed the other day that when I go full throttle and start to build boost it will stop and then build up again. I don't know if that makes sense or not. It's almost like it builds boost then hesitates then builds boost again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your Evo totally stock powerwise? No engine or exhaust mods? It's not a slipping clutch?

The only thing I have added is a K&N drop in filter. It doesn't seem like its a slipping clutch, it happens when it's already in gear and I go to full throttle.

I'll have to check them later. It will probably need them either way from the mileage. What kind of spark plugs should I get?
I have an exhaust I just picked up yesterday but I was waiting to put it on until I found what is wrong with it. I didn't want to put it on and have to take it to the dealer and them saying it was because of the exhaust. Either way it should be under warranty anyway if it's something else.

It's kind of hard to explain. It's like it builds some boost then stops for a split second then builds boost again.

I'm starting to think that it might be the clutch. It seems under normal or light driving it's fine but start to dip into the boost and when the power starts to come on it seems like it just wants to rev up but then catches a little bit.

To me sounds like a slipped clutch and if it is it will get worse.
