so.....

i m sorry but i jus had to somehow vent my frustration from my early effort to install my megan downpipe on my 03.... wow jus two words.... i think .... plastic screws.... WTF why would they use plastic screws on this car... ie the damn splash guard!!! arrrrrrrggggg!!! i took a flat head and a hammer to some... thats how frustrated i was.... and then only to find my rachets extension...... grrrrrrr!!! oh well.... but yea... plastic screws.... WTF!

sometimes it helps to tug on the guard so that the clips won't rotate along with the screws and to use light pressure on the heads, but yes I agree they can be very frustrating, one easy solution is to remove the entire splash guard until you know when you'll be done working under the car and then replace it later on
