How you got your Evo
I'm 20 right now and still haven't owned my dream car which is an evo. Right now I own a 02 Chevy prizm lsi and a modded 95 TSi AWD. I've wanted one ever since I was 15.
I'm still thinking the best way about getting my evo. I will probably sell both cars in the near future and take out a loan.

sold my rsx-s in the summer and was borrowing a car from work. Thursday night around midnight, the day before taking a road trip to see an evo with high mileage, my friend calls me after seeing an evo. It ends up being local, with only 9k miles, go in the next day and leave a deposit. 1 hour later an out of state buyer with cash shows up and cant even test drive it. This was about 4 months ago while i was still 19 and had a hard time getting it too since i didnt really have any credit. I only put 5k down and im paying it off while goin to school but love it. I was looking for a while and in the end was ready to buy any evo just to get into one, but im glad i waited. I would recommend waiting for the right one also, but when you do find it, jump on it. All of the car salesman were hoping i didnt buy it since they had people lined up ready to buy it.
^ yup. a lot of people have said its a lot better to wait until you find the right one even if it takes a while. is it tough paying off your evo while being in school ? thanks for sharing !
^^^^ u guys have no idea how many people i keep meeting now that tell me they are so much happier that they flew out to get their cars and drive them back. this is a very large country there are a lot of options out there. just be patient and get the one you WANT dont settle for something close cheap and nice. just what you WANT.

i bought my evo sight unsean (except pics) while I was still in Iraq...my wonderful father went and picked it up for me and took care of it til I got home.
It's funny, I've never kept a car over a year, and yet I've had this car almost 18 months now and EVERY SINGLE TIME i see it it puts a smile on my face. Then when i get behind the wheel it's even worse.
I'll never sell my Evo. for any price.

Being a little older than most Evo owners, I've had my share of cars and Motorcycles.
I came from an STi and after deciding on a IX, I started looking about 3 months ago. I quickly noticed that trying to find one that was not badly abused or modded like crazy was not easy. For some reason, here in the east coast, the IXs seemed to hold their value well and I almost ended up buying a Silver IX SSL but found an MR in Kentucky of all places
well after going back and forth with the dealer, I drove 8 hours to get it, spent the night over and drove it back the next day. It was well worth it too and I got lucky. The car was completely stock, had 10k miles on it, was the color I wanted from the begining(GG) and I got a decent deal on it. $24.5 out the door. When I got back I had 2 mechanic friends of mine go over the car and they told me it was pretty much garaged the entire time as even the undercarriage of the car was super clean. I coulda easily got a X I like the IX better but that is another topic. I plan to keep this car for a long time and I am planning on a few mods.

I always loved evos and always wanted one. I was playing around on cars.com and came across this ww 06 mr at CBRD. Never heard of CBRD, but I though maybe this place will be decent. So I drove up there that night, and soon as I saw it in person I knew I had to have it. So I test drove it and told Caleb I wanted it. I am 21 now and I love driving the evo. Everytime I drive it, I still get the feeling I got when I first bought it. Love it!
