How you got your Evo
went to iraq for 15 months saved about 10 grand re-enlisted got another 15 grand and went home paid off all but 9000 of it including a tade in on my 02 sentra se-r and got a $29k '06 evo with only 17k miles...and i would do it again
I was 15 and a half when i found my first job at a local Cold Stone Creamery. I've been working there ever since saving for a GG evo. I had to come up with 10,000 bucks to give to my parents in order for them to pay for the other half. So after walking to work and driving a mini van for about 2 and a half years, i finally hit the 10,000 mark and cashed in. I searched all over the net for an evo with good millage and realized why people hang on to them so strongly. They are damn hard to find these days with low millage and in stock condition. After 4 weeks of having to leave many dealerships empty handed, i finally found the needle in the hay stack. A place not to far from where i lived. The dealer had it listed for 25,995. We offered him 23,500 out the door. He denied it at first, but the next day i received an email explaining that he had changed his mind. Clean car fax, 14,500 miles, GG Evo 9 SE. Picked it up and loved it! My buddy and i detailed the evo and his rx8 that same weekend. I am now 17 and a half, after months of begging for a deal and put-downs from every direction, i got the car of my dreams. At times i swore i had no chance, thank goodness i was wrong!

Had a 380bhp GTiR & was having so many problems with the car over the 2 years that I had it. Was only on the road for max 3 months of that time.
So instead of selling it (Would only have got £4000 max for it) I decided to strip the car & make as much money as I could.
Was looking for another car when my mate asked me if I wanted to buy his Evo 6 off him & I did after a little bit of though for £12000.

had a 2003 tacoma that my parents signed the loan for and i paid every payment. got that when i was 18 as a grad present. moved out 3 months out of hs and drove it for 2 years and saw my present evo VIII at a dealership and decided i wanted it. was going to trade my truck in, they offered me 15 (i owed 12) so i decided to go home a think about it. got rear-ended going to work the next day... called the dealer and told them my situation, wound up still getting 15 trade in because they needed to make a sell. best part was they told me just to keep the insurance check when i got it. its nice getting a check for $6675 in the mail. was a deal i couldnt pass up. had it for 2 years now and couldnt be happier.
Drove an 04 heavly built wrx which was totaled when some kid pulled out in front of me. Went to a dealer to buy an sti. The sti was sold but they had just gotten an evo off the truck. So put 5k down and finance the last 20k.... and now I am an evo 9 owner. Figured I could never replace my subaru with another subaru so figured I would try a new car within the same guide lines.
Put 1k down, traded two vehicles, 2003 chevy s10 ZR2 with 85000 miles on it and 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage with 160000 miles on it, they(dealership) gave me $10000 for the truck and $3000 for the mitsu mirage. It came with the extended warranty and 3 yr free maintenance. I paid $36,900 before all trades and downpayment for my brand new 2008 Evo X GSR!!!!!
I work for my dad at his shop we do towing and car repair and I was looking on a salvage website one day and I saw a 04 evo with really lite damage. So we bid on it I ended getting it for $7500.00 it had only 27000 miles on it. It has the ssl package I have it all fixed up now and have under 9grand in it i feel really lucky. Its still not as fast as my Gsx but someday it will be
some one traded one in at a toyota dealership that i work at wiht very low miles from out of state, it was and is my dream car, my wife loved it and so i traded in my new bought rav for my wife and 2 month old daughter and bought it... Dreams do come true just have to wait and work hard!
