Physically, yes you can make any turbo (within reason) fit on just about any car.

As far as gas flow (boost), a big turbo needs a lot of exhaust flow to fully spool the turbine. A giant turbo on a small engine will yield marginal results in terms of horsepower, and horrible results in terms of turbo lag.

Right. Thats what I thought. Of coarse im not planning on putting a diesel turbo on a lancer thats just rediculous. But i have found different turbos like for an srt-4 and wrx's for a Very reasonable price but I was hesitant on putting it in my car.So all i would really need would be turbo bov/ wastegate, fmic, air filter and the right tubing?

liiiiiitle bit more then that unfortunatly:

turbo, BOV, wastegate, fmic, air filter, piping, oil supply and return lines, vaccum lines, custom made turbo manifold and downpipe, high flow exhuast system STRONGLY recommended, boost gauge, boost controller, and for fuel; at least a 2g fuel pump and rising fpr. those would be the very basics for a 'safe' turbo kit. more extensive fuel mods like injectors and a good fuel computer are highly recommended though, and probably a stronger clutch. and a lot of man hours.

not trying to discourage you or anything, but make sure you kit is thorough otherwise you will be dead in the water with a blown motor if precautions arent taken and steps/parts are looked over.

IT depends on which kit you get and also if you plan on doing engine upgrades. Which kit were you thinkin? And a chick with a turbo lancer is oh so hot.

I'm not sure of the exact tech aspects but there are some pretty unique properties to the Evo Turbo setup that may transfer to all lancers? (Vflange, reverse turbine housing)

All I know is that alot of after market tuners have been putting in a lot of R+D to new turbo kits with I'm sure hundreds of man hours to get the right combo to make a reliable and effective turbo kit. And they've got full machine shops .

I guess you could bolt anything up to anything with enough playing around and making it fit. Who knows mabey you can create and market a +100whp turbo kit for $599.99

it might be more cost effective to sell your car and buy an Evo 8. I remember ppl always talking to me about putting a turbo on a gs eclipse.....in the end its easier to buy a gst or gsx. IMO

will the stock turbos that came on the eclipses fit good on the 04 ralliarts? if yes, would it be a good idea or pretty pointless to put one on cuz i can get one for $200 if it'll work....

you all will be better off buying a kit with everything you need in it already.
and for those of you with ralliarts www.roadracemotorsports.com is in the middle of developing a all inclusive turbo kit for your car. to go allong with the many other things that they already offer for all lancers...

This would be a good list if you were adding a turbo to a normally aspirated engine. If the car already has a turbocharger, you wouldn't need all the upgrades (though none of them would hurt).
