So just how much exactly would it cost to swap in a mivec on a 02-03 lancer? and everything that u would need with the switch.

so how much would it cost all together? cause im gonna have an extra 2,000 in a month and swaping in a mivec sounds like a good idea to me. so if someone could just give me a rough estimate. thanks!

 

....2grand wont be enough... if u wanna know, go to a shop and ask.

 

is there a site i can go to. ive been too a few where they were selling a 3000gt twin turbo for less than 2 grand...but the mivec will be more? anyway if i plan on doing the swap myself. does anyone know how much it will be? and if its not 2grand, how much will it be?

Haven't seen anyone try this. To be honest, getting an engine that's been on the market for about 10 months for 2k seems hard. Probably possible, but hard.

i checked those out, seems they dont have any mivec ill try pm'ing that guy u mentioned.

But the mivec will fit into the lancer no problems right? i mean it wont be like the evo engine going into a lancer. Will it go right in or will i have to make some modifications?

 

You may need to modify it a bit. I believe the engine has (at least) a different exhaust, so I'm not sure how much will be direct-bolt-on.

 

From what I see, you need the motor, mounts, ECU, and harness. Your stock tranny should line right up, and it will bolt right in. If I new this motor was this easy to put in before I started to pay for my sds back in Oct., I would have definately got it. I'm more of the all motor type, but there's no such thing with a 4G94.

 

By motor I mean complete (intake and exhaust manifolds, Throttle body,downpipe, injectors and fuel rail, alternator, ps, and ac. I'm not sure on the MAS, just have to look to see if the #'s match. It's as easy as a Honda or VW swap.

 

sure there is not easy to get though but there is a simple swap same motor mounts and stuff but its kinda costy

 

heres some simple advice.... with that money.. Buy the rrm turbo..
