I think we should get an auto-pilot too.
Why would anyone want to do any manual intervention?!
On the serious note, I'm against auto, it takes the fun away. That's why I find WRC not as interesting anymore and F1 completely boring. Without manual, you would have to hang on the cell phone, hold a coffee mug or jerk off to kill the boredom.

Well since no one posted it - here is the link to the original thread of the evo 7.5 GTA: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...+automatic+Evo

For all those who think stick shift is better than sequential manual: F1 uses it... WRC uses it... Hmm, maybe they know something that you don't?
I can understand if you like shifting. But sequential-manual yields the best performance. And isn't that the Evo is all about?

The reason we don't see this type of programmable auto gearboxes in street car is because of liability reasons. People are too stupid to know the difference.

More sophisticated programmable automatic gearboxes are just like sequential gearboxes without the clutch, and you have full control over everything. Imagine if you could control the clutch with your finger. That's what the control unit allows you to do.
In essence, it's more of a manual gearbox than the stomp-and-row gearbox we have now

Oh, and if you want to rev on Honduhs, hold the neutral switch. If you want to drag, hit launch control. If you want to do a burnout, disengage traction control.
Give me a 360 Modena F1, and I'll turn out faster laptimes than you can in a 360 Modena 6-speed. The key to being fast is to be smooth. The F1 allows you to shift in rapid successions SMOOTHLY. With the conventional clutch, you have to rev-match just right. The F1 caculates the rev-matching down to the single rev, and updates multiple times per millisecond. No human foot can do that.
Not saying manual gearboxes are bad. I'll still take one over most conventional automatics any day
